Ambassador Michael Imran Kanu in his Capacity as President of the Security Council has signed the joint letter with the President of the General Assembly.

A historic moment for Sierra Leone as Ambassador Michael Imran Kanu in his Capacity as President of the Security Council has signed the joint letter with the President of the General Assembly to kickstart the process for the selection of the new UN Secretary General.

Ambassador Kanu is the first African to Sign such a letter.
