Sierra Leone Joins the UNCITRAL Colloquium on Navigating Digital Finance

Sierra Leone participated in a two-day meeting organized by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) in New York.

The colloquium focused on reflecting on globally befitting norms required to regulate the emerging frontier of digital finance, particularly the use of new types of assets for secured financing.

The two-day intense meeting converging experts from Governments, Corporate entities and Civil Society around the world, was held at the United Nations Headquarters brought to discuss key topics such as the UNCITRAL Model Law on Secured Transactions, digital economy, digital assets, trade finance, and supply chain finance.

Sierra Leone was represented by Madam Mariatu Browne, from the Ministry of Finance.
