New York, August 30th, 2024- The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the United Nations is delighted to announce two special events marking the conclusion of Sierra Leone’s Presidency of the United Nations Security Council in August 2024. These events will celebrate Sierra Leone’s rich culture and its dedication to global peace and unity.

Briefing
At 10:00 am there will be a briefing called for by the Russian Federation (under TIPS) to discuss weapons transfers by the Western countries to Ukraine. The Briefer will be Mr. Adedeji Ebo, Director and Deputy to the High Representative of the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs.
Wrap-up session of our Presidency
3:00 pm and will be held in Conference Room 4.
